This App, ‘Chord & Triad’ is a comprehensive learning tool for all levels.
This is a perfect tool for ear training and for improving your improvisation skills.
Triad is a combination of any three notes and it constitutes a cluster or a block.
A Chord is the cluster of notes, which sound simultaneously.
The quality of a chord creates a mood and a sequence of these chords brings music alive.
There are four main qualities of the chords; Major, minor, augmented and diminished. App shows all of these types as well as their 7th chords (e.g. C7, CM7).
Basically a chord is stacking up 1st, 3rd and 5th degrees of notes in diatonic scale. The 1st note (root) determines the ‘name’ of the chord (always) and the 3rd and the 5th notes determine the quality of the chord.
Understanding intervals of 3rd and 5th are essential. (Check the app ‘Interval Table’, which covers whole intervals in great detail)
So, the app allows you to figure out which notes are involved in a single chord, which is very important when you play, write and analyze music, it will help you to understand music composition better.

I will be referring to this app when Im wanting to practice and learn what Ive forgotten from years ago. I appreciate the audio to train my ear and it will be nice to use this instead of the books I have that I dont remember to take with me anywhere. :)
Scale tone triads seem to only play in the key of C. I cant figure out how to change the key. Would also be nice to be able slow down the arpeggios so the each sounds longer.
A recent update shifts the screen up so you cant read the note names.
